Bob Edgar, 1943-2013

Common Cause President Bob Edgar, a tireless leader for our organization and a relentless advocate for democracy, died this morning at his home outside Washington. Bob brought this organization back from the brink of financial collapse after taking charge in 2007, infusing it and its thousands of supporters with his good humor, good sense and determination to always do the right thing.

It was a privilege — a joy really — to know and work with him. All whose lives he touched are the better for it.
