Letters to the Editor

The letters section of the newspaper is one of the most frequently read, especially by elected officials. It represents local voices, making it a great place to spread the word about Common Cause issues.

 

We encourage you to make use of this democratic forum. You can use our simple forms to send a letter to any of the following papers:

The best letters are the ones that combine constructive criticism supported by the facts. Passion and energy add elements of sincerity, and personal stories help. Mostly, just be yourself and say why this issue is important to you. Try to be concise (most papers limit letters to 150-200 words). Also, for verification, include a phone number and address.
