Gavin Baker is Open Government Program Manager for California Common Cause. He works on open government issues, including government transparency and campaign finance disclosure. Before joining Common Cause in 2015, Gavin worked as a policy analyst at the Center for Effective Government (formerly OMB Watch), on issues including the Freedom of Information Act, open data, and government websites. Previously, he worked at the American Library Association and the Scholarly Publishing and Academic Resources Coalition. Gavin earned his B.A. in political science from the University of Florida and his M.S. in Library and Information Studies at Florida State University. His thesis examined appeals under the Freedom of Information Act.
