Richard H. Stanley is chair and president of the Stanley Foundation of Muscatine, Iowa, which works to achieve a secure peace with freedom and justice, built on world citizenship and effective global governance. In conjunction with foundation work, he has received the Harry S. Truman Distinguished Service Award from the American Association of Community Colleges and the Award for Citizen Diplomacy from the National Council for International Visitors.
A professional engineer, Dick spent his career with Stanley Consultants, Inc., which provides engineering and related services worldwide. He has served on several engineering and construction-related boards, as well as community and non-profit boards.
He holds degrees from Iowa State University and the University of Iowa.
