We have also listed a number of Legislative Tools. Legislative Update October 14, 2007: This was a dismal Legislative session for civic engagement and campaign finance reform. The governor vetoed a bill that would have allowed general law cities to vote to implement instant run-off voting and another bill designed to encourage more students to work at precinct polls. And despite all of your hard work, the governor signed AB 1430, a bill that will potentially abolish local regulations designed to limit the financial influence of special interests in local elections.
